Both unions and employers often argue for the implementation of full-time employment on the grounds that this alternative can provide men as well as women with sufficient income. For unions and employers, full-time employment also appears to be the easiest alternative for the organization of business activities. However, in Germany, nearly 30% of all women, particularly women who are also mothers, are employed part-time.
