Biography
Professor Jerrold R. Brandell joined the Wayne State University School of Social Work faculty in 1992 after teaching at Michigan State University and Boston University. A practicing psychoanalyst and social work clinician, he is the Founding Editor of the clinical journal, Psychoanalytic Social Work, and currently serves on the International Editorial Advisory Board of the Israel Annual of Psychoanalysis, as well as on the Editorial Boards of Clinical Social Work Journal and the Bulletin of the Michigan Psychoanalytic Council. Dr. Brandell was appointed to the rank of Distinguished Professor by action of President Ervin Reid and the Wayne State University Board of Govenors in 2008. He is very actively involved in clinical practice, consultation, and supervision, and in 2001 was elected to membership as a distinguished practitioner in the National Academies of Practice.

Revision of textbook, "Theory and Practice in Clinical Social Work"
I have just signed with a publisher to do a revision of my textbook, "Theory and Practice in Clinical Social Work." Fully revised and expanded edition of "Theory and Practice in Clinical Social Work" (28 chapters) to be published in 2010 by Sage Publications.
