About us

Our philosophy

The Center for Social Work Research provides access to a range of resources for faculty, students, and organizational, institutional and community members. On this website you can explore faculty research, student research, and resources to support learning and faculty scholarship. If you are a community agency or government agency with a need for planning and evaluation services or research support, the Center has a fee-for-service model to provide you with the expertise you need.  Our Community Engagement and Evaluation section gives highlights of our work with agencies in Metro Detroit.

Our mission

To generate and disseminate knowledge that improves the lives of disadvantaged individuals, families, and communities through a comprehensive approach to research, consultation, and information dissemination.
